Visual Studio 2012 RC Invalid License Data

Yesterday I installed Visual Studio 2012 RC on my laptop where I had the 2012 Beta already installed. Like many of the Microsoft products where you install an update to a Beta the previous version does not necessarily get cleaned off. After waiting several hours for the Visual Studio Release Candidate to install I was anxious to launch it. To my surprise I was greeted by the following dialog:

After sighing a bit I did a quick Bing search to find the answer and quickly found an answer on the Visual Studio Developer Center Forums. The RC installation package does not clean the Beta install from the machine. Instead they still clash. Going to the Control Panel and uninstalling the Visual Studio 2012 Beta did the trick. Once that was removed from my machine I could launch the RC. I hope this helps others out.

I ran into that issue with VS 2012 as well, once I uninstalled VS 2011 I was able to install it with no problems.
