I am contemplating a few more Code Camps and User Group meetings so stay tuned. I am hoping to get a date setup with TRINUG back in Raleigh for example. Sorry I don’t have topics firmed up for any of these events yet. New York and Dallas should be notifying me shortly.
I submitted 6 sessions to the MIX Open Call this year. I am hoping to have at least one earn enough interest to be chosen to present. MIX is my favorite conference to attend each year because it is so different from other large scale events. Let’s hope Microsoft officially releases Internet Explorer 9 this year!
User Group, community events have always been important to me. My time and experience in TRINUG has led to so many great things. If you are hesitant about participating in your local user group please give it a try. There are so many intangible benefits available in the .NET user group communities beyond the learning and exposures to new techniques and technologies. The relationships I have built are invaluable. I have friends all over the world now, all of which I consider an expert in one or more development related areas. There have been so many times I was feeling burned out or unenthused about my work when a user group meeting, code camp or just having someone to ping on IM have energized me I can’t count. You can visit the INETA web site to find user groups in your area.
The next few months get me excited about sharing these topics, but even more about the conversations and other sessions I can attend. I know there are going to be some great lunches and dinners with passionate conversations about things I love and have not even considered. I can’t wait, I hope to see you there!
