CodeStock – Ya’ll Come Now Ya Hear!
I am honored to be one of the selected speakers for Code Stock in Knoxville, TN August 9th. I will be demonstrating how to leverage custom httpModules and httpHandlers. There is a fantastic lineup of speakers; including a keynote by my good friend Jeff Prosise. Other friends that will be making the trip include Steve Andrews, Rachel Appel, Alan Stevens, James Avery, Jason Gaylord, Amanda Laucher, Wally McClure, Jeff McWherter, Chris Williams and Jim Wooley.
For the first ever Code Stock, this is a fantastic event. It also has a rich set of speakers local to the Knoxville area, which I am always excited about. One thing I like about local events like this are they give those that have never given a presentation a chance to see what it is like. It seems like just the other day I was doing my first Code Camp presentation in Richmond or my first user group session.
It also does not seem like that long ago when I was in Knoxville for the NCAA regionals with the NC State baseball team. Ah, late May 1994, doing the radio play by play for the Wolfpack with my roommate. The regional had Arizona State, NC State, Wright State and Tennessee with a star player by the name of Todd Helton. It was a good weekend and I learned that Knoxville is a very beautiful city, with the Chattahoochee river running right through the city. It has been way too long for a return trip and I am very excited!
Of course you have to follow the tribe on Twitter, too many of the TechEd Twitter tribe will be there and I am certain the conversations will be very entertaining!
