SharePoint User Group Portal

My good friend Josh Carlisle has been very busy working on a SharePoint User Group Portal over the past few months. He recently posted a sneak peak at what he has done and a little insight into how it works.

The portal allows administrators to customize the branding so it reflects the image the user group wants. The home page provides a quick view into the most important information to the group. The Meeting WebPart includes all sorts of details about each meeting the group will be having, including the sponsor. There is even a registration module for the group to allow members and visitors to register ahead of time, this comes in handy for things like Code Camps!

There are a lot of great features to this portal and I am sure the user group community will be excited to get this great tool. So encourage Josh to get things finished so we can start testing it for our local user group, TRINUG! Many thanks to Josh for working on this project.
