Mix 08 Day 2, Still Going

Good day so far, learned more about IE8 Activities and WebSlices. I like both technologies and I 'should' have something up to demonstrate them very soon (this is called keeping me accountable).

After that session I did a presentation myself. I have not Blogged about it yet, but I have a couple of WROX Blox that will be available very soon. The first is on httpModules and is currently in the hands of the WROX editor. By the way, I met my WROX editor, Chris Webb yesterday and had a great chat with him about Wiley and the publishing processes. Anyway, I did a 30 minute presentation on httpModules that will be on the VisitMix site very shortly. Peter Ludauti told me it should be published very shortly at least!

Having Fun with Karl Shifflett

This afternoon Guy Kawasaki and Steve Balmer did a relaxed Q&A that was just tremendous. If you did not catch it I encourage you to do so. Speaking of that, you can download every session here at Mix08 the day after it occurs from the VisitMix.com site. I have already started downloading the sessions for my Zune on the flight home. I have to admit, I have not done well staying in or even making it to sessions because of the social aspects of being here!

So a lot of content is being recorded here and streamed over the web. The deep zoom Silverlight code being used by Hard Rock Cafe is one of the neat applications I have seen. Learn more about Deep Zoom in the Channel 10 video.

For now, I am actually settled in to learn more about debugging and gathering diagnostic data from IIS 7 applications. This is the one time slot where there are about 6 sessions I really wanted to see in person. Oh well, more to watch on the flight home. Tonight is more socialization and dinners to be a part of.
