Third Update from Mix 08 Day 1
Ok, so I am almost 0 for 2 with the first two sessions. Oh well I will catch them tomorrow or just download them to the Zune for the trip home. I went to 10 minutes of David Ebbo's Dynamic Data Controls session and realized it was almost identical to a presentation I did in Greensboro last December, so I bugged out and hung out in the Open Space.
The Open Space is a nice relaxing area where you can hang out with friends. And I did just that, chilling with Miguel Castro, Scott Watermasyk, Rob, Peter Ludauti and more. Had some good productive conversations with them. Thinking about speaking at the New Jersey Code Camp June 28th. Looks like it will be at the Devry in New Brunswick.
I talked with Scott about Graffiti and Community server, which led to a conversation about SEO, which led to even more stuff.
Talked with Miguel about SEO, httpModules and httpHandlers. Miguel will be speaking at Tech Ed so we discussed that too. There are many good conversations and many very smart folks here at Mix and sometimes it is better to have free form discussions about topics that matter, rather than attending sessions. I mean they are available tomorrow to download face time with friends and experts is not.
Tonight is the party at TAO, here at the Venetian. It starts at 6 and they kick us out around 10, so 9PM-1AM for my clock. At least I slept in till 3:30 this morning. :)
