Current Events
Kudos to Josh Carlisle for stepping up to the plate and helping an attendee at the MSDN event having an epileptic seizure. The gentleman was having a pretty severe attack and fortunately Josh has a medic background from his military days. He was able to step in and stabilize the man until the paramedics arrived. Which they got there very fast, so thumbs up to the Morrisville Fire Department!
Get Ready for SQL 2008
Tomorrow is the big day for the SQL Magazine Get Ready for SQL 2008 event. I have already Blogged about it, but wanted to mention it again so you would be sure to register and get some knowledge about SQL 2008 and LINQ. I will be online at the end of the event to field questions about LINQ, so be gentle.
TRINUG
TRINUG is going well and next month Dianne Wilson will be presenting LINQ in the Enterprise and I am looking forward to that.
CodeCampRDU
February 16th we will be hosting another Code Camp here in Raleigh. This year we have 3 Regional Directors and 11 MVPs on the schedule. Richard Campbell, of DotNetRocks and Run As Radio fame will be attending! We have sessions on LINQ, SharePoint, SQL Server 2008, etc and much more.
Roanoke Code Camp
Robin also formally announced the Roanoke Code Camp on March 1st. I will be there and most likely doing two presentations. I think I will do a SharePoint and my new Front-End Performance presentation talk.
Mix 08
I will make it back to MIX this year! The main topic this year looks to be an early preview of Internet Explorer 8. I am really not totally sure what to expect, but last year was so much fun, I could not resist a return trip.
MVP Summit
Finally I will be at this year's MVP summit in mid April. I cannot wait. I feel like this will be a similar experience to my first trip to Europe! I hope to get an inside look into the technology road map at Microsoft.
